Getting To Lakefront Escape

Driving from NYC / Northern New Jersey – From 287, take the Sykline Dr exit #57 and go north. When Skyline Dr ends, turn right on the Greenwood Lake Turnpike. After passing the south shore of Greenwood Lake, turn right on Lakeside Rd at the Mobil gas station. Stay on Lakeside Rd until it turns into Jersey Ave and you cross into New York. Lakefront Escape is on the right, just before Breezy Point Inn. [As an alternative to Skyline Dr, you can take Exit 55 from 287 to come up Ringwood Ave – see Google Maps]

From Upstate New York – Take Rt 17 south from Harriman to Rt 17A. Turn right on 17A and follow it through the Sterling Forrest. When you reach the Village of Greenwood Lake, turn left on Windemere Ave. Go through the Village and turn right at Jersey Ave (the only traffic light in the village). Follow Jersey Ave until you see the Breezy Point Inn sign on the left- we are the next house, also on the left.

The 196 bus is express at 1 hr 15 mins but only goes to the city on weekday mornings and back on weekday evenings. On either bus, when the on-board announcement reads "Cascade Rd", immediately after "Hemlock Hill", push the button to request a stop. The bus stops in front of the neighbors house and its just a few steps to 618 Jersey Ave next door. If you're taking the bus to the city, you can get picked up at Jersey Ave & Cascade Trail as well- you'll see a bus stop sign there and an asphalt platform and wave when you see the bus coming down the road to be certain they see you.
